Jackie spoke with Linda – she is back with her band, in good spirits, still having back problems.  She may lose her health insurance due to not working.  She is however, working 10-15 hours at home.

Treas. – Pat read from Dave’s email – Dave has deposits totaling $210, wrote a check to cover PO Box renewal for $68, which leaves a balance of $2199.29.  Some people still owe dues.  Dave needs an article from John Cole for Squirrel camp, an article from the President, and an article from Maria for the Southeastern.  Pat has written about the NE.  Also, there will be room in Plunders for “items to sell,” so if you have anything to sell, email the info to Dave.

Recognition of workers:  William, Charlie, Duane, Pat, Lori, Dave, Brianna, Jan, and Hannah sold raffle tickets at the NE voo.  Approximately $600 was made for the club.

Old Business:  Dues are due.

August shoot is this weekend, Aug. 8.  There will be no workday in August.  Whether or not a workday is needed for Sept. will be discussed at the Sept. club meeting.

Squirrel camp – John Cole reported that Nov. 13 is the opening of squirrel season (Sat.).  The two proposed weekends are the 11th thru the 14th, or the 18th thru the 21st.  William will report back at September’s meeting as to which date will be best.  Dave Ikenberry suggested

to do the squirrel camp the 11th thru the 14th, do activities on the 11th and 12th, and hunt on the 13th & 14th.  Also, the 11th is Veteran’s Day.                                                                          Post meeting cleanup – Dick and Cheryl will do cleanup after the meeting.

N.E. voo – William discussed how nice and cool the weather was the first few days, even needing wool blankets, then the weather turned hot and rainy.  He talked about the raffle and that $600 was made for the club.  Brianna competed and took 2nd place in women’s!

Edgar told of a new event, Heritage Days Rendezvous, 9-24 thru 9-26 at Banks County Recreation Area in Homer, Georgia.  There will be camps set up from different time periods (in chronological order) so it’s like walking back through time.

New Business:  Bobby Guris talked about the Big Bend Youth Outdoor Program that will be held on Oct. 9, location yet to be determined, possibly Tall Timers.  This program is to introduce youth to blackpowder, archery, etc.  They are looking for volunteers to help.  Bobby will report more info at the Sept. meeting.

Midwest:  Jan reported that it was one of the prettiest sites he has ever seen.  He had a great time. He reported that the 05 will be on Lake Superior in Michigan.

The meeting adjourned at 7:37.
