V. Pres. – shooting report (attached).  Duane suggested a change in the knife scoring needs to be discussed at the January meeting.  Pat brought up the fact that some visitors recently were told by a local gun shop that there were no local muzzleloader clubs nearby.  It was suggested that the club needs to do some outreach to the local gun shops about our club shoots.  This needs to be discussed again at the January meeting.

Secy. – no report

Treas. – Dave reports a balance of $2140.53, with $80 to deposit.

Paying the hooter man was discussed.  They need to be somehow paid when they come out to the site and deliver hooters.  The hooter employees (drivers) don’t get paid from their company until the customer pays.  Dave talked about the newsletter and needs to get another one out in Feb.  Dave knows someone who is quitting rendezvousing due to bad health and has a tent for sale:  12 x 12 Panther hunter’s tent, 2 full size flys,, 2 doors, cooking items, and clothing.

Old Business:

t-shirts – Charlie did not bring them tonight.

Cleanup – Dave Ikenberry

Club shoot:  There will be a workday before the club shoot on Sunday, Dec.12 to winterize the club building and work on targets.  It will be at 9 a.m.  Possibly working on the hooter.

Pat brought up about food for workers on shoot days. At present, workers are not being fed and feels they should be.  This needs to be revisited in January.  We need to include Jan in on this suggestion.

Squirrel Camp – Very few people attended this year due to lots going on, plus the weekend it was held.  Charlie reported that he shot a squirrel, Bob got one, and William got one but his weighed 23 ˝ pounds and had rings all over his tail!!  William cooked it up and he fed the whole camp!!  Then the musical entertainment was discussed (the awesome snoring by John Cole).  Pat said he must have been sleep deprived because he snored all weekend, including long naps.  B.B. and Craig went all out for prizes for the event.  Pat will send out thank you notes to them.  They need to be recognized in the next Plunders.

Southeastern:  The first of the year, we need to organize a chicken cooking day!  Chickens need to be cooked, deboned, so they can be frozen so they will be ready.

Alafia - Several club members are going and will camp together.

Trade Faire – William reported that it is still up in the air, as they still haven’t gotten insurance for the event.

Northeastern:  Pat reported that there will be a NE this year, they finally got a Booshway and it precedes the Midwest.  It will be in Vermont this year.  It ends the day the Midwest starts.  Pat has info on it and can email the info if anyone is interested.

New Business:

Charlie mentioned since there is no club voo in 05 due to the SE, the club might want to bring the firewood up to the shoot site and burn it as it is rotting.  He also suggested, something to be thinking about, since our treasury is building up, that the club might consider buying firewood in the future, that workdays could be better spent on the ranges, etc.  William said he hates the wood going to waste when trees fall, etc.

Meals at meetings:  Chef William volunteered to cook for club meetings from now on, if everyone desires him too.  Everybody agreed.  Everyone needs to bring a beverage, and need volunteers to bring dessert.  Next club meeting, we need to add this to the agenda, volunteers to bring a dessert (maybe 2 people).  William discussed bringing a stove out to the shoot site for cooking.

Site:  William mentioned he is working on a new entrance to the property.

Night Watch:  William said there was a room available at the Pirate Haus if anyone is interested.

The meeting adjourned at 8:10.
