OLD BUSINESS

Dave I brought the matter of water for the squirrel camp.  A work day was agreed to per Dave’s executive decision, for the coming Sunday to clean the water tank and return it to the Squirrel Camp site, so the campers could have running water.  William, Ken, and Dave I said they could be there at 11 AM.

Robert stated that is someone wanted to shoot rifles etc., we could use the silhouettes on the woods walk with just a little work.

Jan said the shooting funds was around $100.

William said the funds for the dinner for the meetings was also around $100.

John reported on Tall Timber Hunter Education Day.  With 6 loading and John doing the talking and Jim doing the ear muff and eye protection as well as putting up the balloons we had allot of shooters, and impressed a bunch of people.  Every one had a good time, and some sneaked away during a lull, to shot traps across the field.

That brought up the idea of doing it with the Club Rendezvous.  William said we would only need a golf club thrower.  Roger could be some birds.  Charlie has a thrower, but do buy bio-degradable birds as they do not break reliably.

NEW BUSINESS

Ron would take care of the application with the St Marks Wildlife Heritage Festival on 02-02-08.  See the attachment.   Charlie said we could use the pallet back stop to shoot at the Festival.  Robert and William stated the swinger target has ricochet problems.  Lime rock is expensive.  Sand leaks out.  Aggregate works fine and is cheap.  We can just bring the pallet and burlap bags and reload it up in the tow burlap bags with shot lead that got stopped to relieve the thought of lead lying around for St Marks.  For targets we can use balloons.  Ron will get the info from Lori.

Jan motioned and Terry seconded to end the meeting.  The were only ayes.

The meeting ended at 7:50 PM.

Attached is the email I got from Lori Nicholson about the 2008 Wildlife Heritage and Outdoor Festival.

Hello everyone.
I hope 2007 has been a wonderful year for you.  I would like to invite you
to participate in the 2008 Wildlife Heritage and Outdoor Festival.  It will
be held on Sat. Feb. 2, 2008.  I know how busy everyone is so I am trying
to give plenty of advanced notice.  I am attaching an information sheet and
application.  Please send the application back as soon as possible so we
can start advertising earlier this year with everyone's organization
listed.  I want to make sure that everyone is recognized.  We had a great
turn out last year and want to make this year even more of a success.  I
look forward to hearing from each of you. If you have suggestions to
improve upon last year I would also like to hear them.  Thanks again and
have a wonderful day.
